worst mistake you've ever made

Post by wildferret »

Whats the worst/most embarrasing mistake you've ever made?
For me, I was playing a game on Speedmetal and I got distracted by The Bourne Supremacy. You can guess what happened next.

How about you? Whats the worst/most embarrasing mistake you've ever made?

P.S., dont say "plaing Speedmetal" is a mistake. While playing it is a mistake, we're looking for other mistakes here.

A couple of weeks ago, I was sick with the flu, quite delirious, playing spring (1v1v1 on triad) at 3 am. Aside from that being a mistake in itself, I kept trying to lvl1 gunship rush...10-15 mins in. I basically just kept spamming solars...

I left a wall dividing me and a weaker ally unfinished. Suffice to say the enemy steamroleld over my ally and hopped over the wall to the back of my base.

Last saturday, been a busy week and an especially busy and intensive day..... so I was pretty tired when I came home..... and was rather giddy as a result.

First I rung GMN seven times ("my ears are ringing now", still makes me , no offence GMN) when I hosted a game, then after that I joined another game..... results can be found in the SpringBash thread :)

doubleposting for that is worse that not knowing units' names imho

my worst mistake was playing a speedmetalish map (:P) with 2 teammates who where just too cool to aid me in any way (speaking english would have helped too), i was newb then, i learnt the lesson

not expanding correctly is my most common mistake, i usually forget which ta mod im playing, resulting in messed up priorities and stalls in several fashions

The biggest mistakes you can make are those that happen when you don't capitalize on opportunities. I spec a lot of games where two armies battle, one side wins by a few raiders, but then they pull them back - even though those raiders would have been enough to rape the other team's econ.

And then thinking no one would be dum enough to start in the middle. But 3 of us were in nearly exactly the same spot. Out of 5 players. Kaboom.

I've watched that happen more times than I can remember.

In LLTA you do, because the Commander can survive an adjacent Commander Explosion at maximum range, due to a currently unbalanced DGun.
