so let me get this straight.. youve evolved a flat, featureless map with infinite resourses and no need to expand, no concept of a frontline and no real skill except BO, with the only challenge being navigating the chokepoint into...

A big, flat, infinte resources square. what will they think of next? how about an even bigger, flat featureless map with infinite resources and no skill required?

I get the feeling that for this market someone should make a Mod where there is no building.. at the start, each player starts with a galactic gate which creates infinite energy, and no metal. the gate can build any mobile unit in the game, but you only have the metal you get at the start of the game with to build an army. so, with 1000 starting metal you might build 100 fleas, or 1 main battle tank. more resources = bigger battles. the galactic gate build anything at ultra speed (like 30x speed of a kbot lab.)

this would allow speedmetal style gameplay ON ANY MAP, with no need to wrry about resources. build a random army out of anything you like and put your tactical skills to the test

What you mean no skill required? That is very hard to survive in that small map what i play. And noobs die real fast.

cool :-) ok, the gate needs to be making waaay more energy, like 10x as much. and to play it well, need to start with about 10,000M and 10,000E. I like the const units as reclaimers only. could give them capture to steal enemy factories in ffa.

Just played tested it. Core is broken. Ill fix.

Personally, i think the gate should create metal as well.
