Ok, the ridges now make sense and i like them... (seeing the other bits slide under is cool.) But I still think the whole building liffting is cooler than the doors... :(

But its up to you.

Lifting buildings is cool. But I wanted something more... usual?
pipes? hmm, I could add a pipe or two. Though that's more of a core thing... I'll look into something.

SinbadEV, I have no idea where you got that spammage off. all my images and video's are hosted on my brothers server. (a little silent box in the bottom of his desk. And it's faster then FU)

Oh my god that animation is awesome.

For more detail, maybe add an antena tower on one side or soemthing, rather than pipes, if you feel exposed pipes are too corish?

Well I'm currently without my dear PC. So not able to do anything
(This situation is caused firest by a long vacation followed by me moving to another place to live.) I'll promice I will finish it, but it might take a while for me to be able to do any work.

Still thanks for the bump. ^.^

It lives!

I found some time to get on with the texture. (most of it I've done early)

The texture ain't finished yet. But it's comming along nicely.

An antenna would be cool, only it would suggest it has a radar or so. I could make an exoust vent... hm...

I agree with Das Bruce. Greeblize it. And not just greebls, significantly different patches, not just a cloudy grey texture. Chuck in some corrugated iron, metal grating, and vents.

I disagree with you both and think zenka should carry on with his current approach. Afterall he said it wasnt anywhere near finsihed, think of it as a first coat of many coats of paint.

There's probably a lot of detail there that you can't see because there's no reflectivity map showing (but in spring you'll see it better)

I agree with AF.

Save pointy crap for Chaos Space Marines and the Epic Legions mod.

That is a realy good base texture, but iut needs a few more on top of it to break it up. It looks like a big blob right now. A really cool blob :D

Ah thank you all.

I will continue with breaking the blob up in sections. add more detail and, discreatly, fancy stuff ^.^

Anyways, you gave me the motivation I was looking for. cheers!

we all love you Zenka :) keep up the good work then steal a vsn of AA and call it AA 2.2 PE (pimped edition is just funny IMO)
of course you COULD ask Caydr before doing so, but that wouldn't be as much fun :D

I won't see no one dissing the greebles. they are for the win. Didn't any one else here watch firefly? Now that was great use of greebiles.

So add some neat spinny things, just to make it look EVEN cooler then it already is.

I've been going on with it. adding a small vent and adding more detail to the texture. I also added team color. Now some may know I'm a bit odd on the last. those four blue blocks looks very boring when full blue. So I added lines to them. You might not like it though, then I will simple turn them solid again. I want your opinion!

Image
Oh and the yellow-black construction lines returns. I always wondered why they were on the tech2 lab and not on the tech 1.

nice

I like the lines on the blue, breaks it up nicely. I'd make the caution striping smaller... maybe just a square outline, not the whole square filled in? It's a little overpowering. And definetely make it so it all goes in one direction, instead of in a diamond. Right now it pulls your eye right to the center, when most of the details are around the edge.

Very, very good though.

I think the lines on the blocks are a good idea in principle but they lack a purpose right now, try painting some unpainted metal covers on the short sides of the blocks, with edges that have some variation to them that look like they are used to attach the uncolored plates.

I'd also use transparency for that fan deal instead of using geometry.

By the way, does that picture use lighting or is that painted on the texture?

EDIT: For the con stripes I'd say make the blocks mostly metal and paint a faded line of con stripes on it.
