Re: The Star Wars: Imperial Winter Eyecandy Thread [56k warning]
maybe you guys are putting to much faith in the idea that star wars has some kind of logic

Re: The Star Wars: Imperial Winter Eyecandy Thread [56k warning]
Let me clarify my rationalle.
Say you have an inert space station.
You throw a pebble at it, the rock bounces off the space station will almost the entire force at which it is struck. As the rock has mass, the space station will be moved an immeasurably small quantity in the opposite direction (assuming it does not absorb the impact).
Say you have a infinite number of rocks, and you throw them at near infinitely small intervals. They strike one after the other and bounce off with almost the same force at which they struck.
However, the infinite number of rocks will each transfer a tiny amount to momentum to the space station. The shear number of pebbles and the time at your disposal means this adds up. As this is space, the momentum remains in the space station after each impact, compounding what was already there.
Substitute space station for star destroyer and pebble for Jedi.
I'm not saying its particularity practical way of parking your Stardestoryer, nor is it going leave you much time for other pursuits that month. but, it would be doable.

its probably party tricks like that that stunted his growth in the first place.pintle wrote:And yoda would be crushed lifting the xwing outta the swamp on DagobahElkvis wrote:I did say that any correction thrusters would totally ruin it.
But, not as a static object against a force applied over a long period of time.
I must add, that I am assuming that Jedi force pull does not require the whole equal and opposite reaction gambit, otherwise he would simply pull himself up into the ship.

Hey warlord, you might want to talk to websense..
I have a good feeling that many starwars fans are 30 year old virgins with shit state jobs browsing the web at work... ok, ok, I kid...
The point is that most starwars fans are going to be the older guys and many of them have jobs and they will likely try to read and talk about starwars while at work during idle periods of time(compiling, fucking off etc). However, I do not think many of them will be too thrilled when they get a zing from corporate/the state for browsing your "nudity" site.

That was the one I modelled. We decided it was too complicated for an RTS and went with wolfy's.

good choice, I am also glad to see the color variation in the metal. Neat stuff.

There are about a million different sources between ATST's unfortunately. Even between the movie sources they are often highly conflicting in shape as well as colour.
Not quite sure how I'm going to tackle teamcolour just yet.

Maybe have a stormy sticking his head outta the access hatch wearing teamcolour?
