3 Crashs: Unhandled exception // Content Error // Fatal Erro

Post by Raptor »

How I get Crash #1 (Spring:Unhandled exception):

Spring V0.78.2
TASClient -> Singleplayer -> BA V6.81 -> Skirmish game -> select a Map (maps were all definitely BA compatible) -> add a bot (wich AI doesnt matter - it crashes with all of them) -> start the game -> game shows me the loading screen for at most a couple of secound and I get the following error message:

Spring: Unhandled exception

Spring has crashed.

A stacktrace has been written to:
<spring directoy>

My system is a completely new installed Win XP SP 3. I just got the PC today. Spring is on the secound partition, Win XP is on the first one.
I also have my old harddisc in this computer, but I deinstalled Spring on the old HD. (the maps and mods and other stuff are still there.)

Now on to Crash #2

Basically this time I start Spring directly, without TASClient. BA V6.81.
I try to start a game, I get this error:

Many times was said: try the game with minimum graphics settings at first.
wich AI doesnt matter - it crashes with all of them
On the nextstep (if you pass it) it will matter. AAI will crash if AAI folder structure does not match the design (see AAI readme for folder structure reference) and it is so because of installer.

PS. Post your infologs as attachments next time.

Thanks for the reply, but actually I've already set all graphics settings to minimum.

Details:
Checked: full-screen
Resolution: 1280 x 1024
Buffer: 16-bit Z-buffer
Water Quality: Basic
Everything else in Render quality/Video mode and Render detail is unchecked or set to minimum.

One thing I've been suspecting that might be the source of those errors would be the mainboard (its fairly new), or to be more specific, the mainboards onboard graphics card - perhaps its a driver problem?
It's a Gigabyte S-Series EG41MF-S2H.

Hmm... I've checked my drivers, apparently they are up to date.

Got my problem fixed.

I tried putting in a seperate graphics card.... and suddenly it worked.
So it seems like it really WAS a drivers problem.
