New version, 0.72b1

Post by jcnossen »

Finally it's there! We have been testing this release for a while so it should be quite bugfree. Thanks to all the testers for that as well!

Download the full installer (30 mb)
Download the updating installer (12 mb) It can update 0.70b1 or any version after that.

The changes include a new shield system and custom explosions, which both give modders a lot of new features. But there is a long list of other important changes made, too many to mention here. See the full list of changes here

There is a seperate changelog for the changes made to the multiplayer lobby: lobby changelog

0.71b1 mods that used repulsers (such as AA) may crash the game because of the new shield system. You will need to wait for a new mod version if that is the case.

Main developers (for this release):
tvo, betalord, SJ, jcnossen

Contributors (for this release):
ILMTitan, colorblind, patmo98

Thanks to all the testers!

No, but you'll get used to it. I didn't like it at first either, but now I think it's better since you can both move and zoom with it.

Also, colorblind's autozoom patch (try zooming with alt) is included, and you should press TAB sometime too (A new view mode by SJ)

It is handled via a purpe purple teamcolor area. I will explain tommorrow, or tonight if I can find a microphone around here.

Do you really have to release it in the middle of the night when the team is 100% european?

Silly silly devs...

great new stuff.

where is radar coverage drawn?

i mean:

- Added simplified LOS drawing (patch from colorblind)

pressing "L" does not show the radar coverage. what key shows it back.

most of the players are americans kixie. Also, it may have taken all day for them to test the game prior to release. Give the team a break, this is a stellar release.

easy, zoom out, select a building to build, hit shift, place the first one where you want it, and, holding the mouse button down, drag the cursor along the line you want, and voila!

thank you i was in panic.

e: oh its toggle..
e2: Totalwar mouse has inverted xaxis? (deffinetly)
e3: the tick box for camera loop settings has totalwar changed for Overheadrotatable. So if you choose overhead and rotatable you end up with OH and totalwar.
e4: also, dont forget to delete your old ais from AIDLL folder.
