Yeah I had implementation of some modern strictly unsynced particle system in mind for some time, but things have proven to take much more time than anticipated, so for now this is this looks ~107-ish.
Currently it's not possible to get access to CEG texture atlasses, but overall it should not be hard to do. Access to spring 3d models (s3o, 3do, assimp) is already implemented, but currently being reworked for better usability.
