if each engine version was stored as a different DLL/SO
then you (or the lobby) could select the appropriate one to run, would be nice.

i ran it on a 1.2GHz AMD with 2GB of ram and a geforce 5200 ran fine for smaller games (less than 6v6), just make sure lua shaders and lups are off

maybe if there was a way to manually respond to a BuggerOff command, you can either do your own action and return true, or just return false to get default behaviour?

also been having a lot of sync errors, is lobby server only allowing 0.80.5.1? I have played 4 team games and in 3 more than one person had sync error.(me too once) This did not hapen on 0.80.4 ver.. does sync error still mean that player is out and playing his own wrong game ?? yep, sometimes now ...

well yes there's a few rtses without basebuilding or resource management myth for example, DoW2 is heading in that direction and focuses more on unit micromangement and use of cover TA allowed lots of things like radar jamming/stealth stuff to help change the gameplay around putting some emphasis on...
