Re: The Mana World
well it's fairly straightforward, attack enemies, collect what they drop, gain levels, sell stuff, buy better stuff, etc. The whole magic aspect is quite interesting though. You can only use magic after you've done a certain thing, and spells are cast by typing in the talk box. You acquire spells by...

The Mana World
Well, i was bored and i started looking around for some nice free games, and i stumbled upon The Mana World (or TMW). It's a neat little mmorpg that's still in development (it's quite incomplete, but still very much playable). Has anyone else tried this? It's free ofc. linky. I'd love to have someon...

Re: Random WIP
nice models wombat, but i have to say it looks like you're using WAY too many polies on the bombs and the engines/thrusters/whatever in the back. Other than that i like the style and the concept

Re: Humble Indie Bundle
lol the song of the video on their webpage almost makes me not want to buy this xD
i'll probably give it a shot though, since they're all for linux too. I like how in the little pie chart Mac has ~25% and Linux almost has that much, windows only has barely over 50% yeah!

Re: spring for android?
so what are you gonna do about the GUI? how you gonna use a mouse? (touch screen doesn't have right click) i doubt you'll have the space on that phone to fit all the icons/information boxes that you *need* to play 99% of spring mods

Re: spring for android?
i think, even if it were possible to run spring on the android's hardware, the controls would be impossible to cram in there, just the GUI would have to take up the whole screen just to make the buttons big enough to press, then there's commands often used by keybinds, when you don't have a keyboard...

Re: spring for android?
also, afaik, you can only make android apps in Java. Google might have changed this by now, i haven't really been paying attention, but if not, it sounds like a pretty big problem xD.
not that i think the idea is feasible right now

Re: spring for android?
you must be trolling... you can't be serious.
spring runs slow enough on my 2-3 years old desktop pc, getting it to run on a phone is simply ludicrous.
trim it up? you need to make a whole new game for it to be able to run on something like that.
also wtf using google earth as maps?
