amazing map, great work. In my opinion, it could be improved though, i think you should make the hills around the edges (actual edges, not just the boundaries) fall off to 0 height, so that the fog covers it, and you don't get that "abrupt end" look, where the map just stops, the way i say...

so yeah, i'm completely lost when it comes to texturing... i've downloaded some brushes and tried to make stuff but i'm absolutely at a loss as to what to do, what tools to use, etc... can i have any tips? what's your routine for making textures?
