Re: CRNfix Engine Version: better late game performance
We can sit here to the end of times hearing about the so called 300% performance increase, if theres no source theres also no real credible tests to rely upon. And especially with a GPL violation on it. Anyways i think the devs are working on a improved threaded release for Spring so hopefully we ca...

Re: CRNfix Engine Version: better late game performance
IIRC aren't replays used in the comparisons of the violation and the spring engine? So it is possible this could rectify much of the ignorant stuff frequently bantered around here. I would guess. However this just proves that replays shouldnt be used to test engine performance. Behe its a fix and w...

Re: Planetary Annihilation (Incoming Moon Drops!)
I migth be wrong Your wrong. The core programer and designer aren't rookies when it comes to rts game making. well that scares me even more. With the latest patch a lot of things improved. Some things I'm particularly happy about below. Well im glad to see those features added in, but man wheres th...

Re: Planetary Annihilation (Incoming Moon Drops!)
I've been following this game for a while and recently bought early access. It looked pretty, seemed like it took a lot of ideas from TA, and it was "on sale", so why not? At present , PA is not a game I'd recommend buying early access for. I'm confident the developers have their hearts i...

Re: Planetary Annihilation (Incoming Moon Drops!)
Just got into the Beta, gotta say I'm quite disappointed. The planet stuff just feels like an annoyance more than a cool niche thing. The UI and stuff seem to get super laggy too when the game gets going and graphics are turned up which is strange considering the game looks hella ugly a lot of the ...

Re: engine installer should block installing over old instal
Or we could be smarter and more forward looking. Using the lobbies as some sort of steam like hub for any project done on this or future versions of the engine. Which is why I want the engine version in a sub dir and the mod to at least contain some kind of OPTIONAL tag which would state minimum ve...

Re: Quarter loss of 273 million - EA stopped development on
It's ok, EA and RTS (or anything involving a brain) don't mix. well you can say that, but every game that gets canceled is a red flag to developers saying "dont make rts games". Company of heroes migth have payed itself but it failed in getting to that premium status, world in conflict go...

Re: Bitches dunno bout mah zerg
well 200 apm, good luck finding diamond players that reach that amount(i know i was one of them). if you reach 60 to 70 up to 100 while on combat, and you use control groups on average its all you need, i think more than that your doing a lot of wasted actions per minute, it can be considered traini...

Re: make spring 95.0 a not enforced release?
I dont think this is a good idea: - It can result in frustration in newbies, depending on the implementation details. - In the long run it results in version fragmentation as versions diverge with mutually exclusive features - Increased engine developer workload in maintaining and bugfixing version...

Re: Total War Rome 2
:D well there are a couple mods worth a check, the one that im suprised the most is the one that unlocks every single faction in the game including the seleucids, witch were to be released as DLC content. Its hilarious, im intriged how CA will respond to this, so far its been weird. Also t...
