Spring RTS Engine

"Error at position 526 near "xyz, vertex.normal.z,program." when loading vertex program file treeNS.vp

While trying to load balanced total annihilation 6.85, My game crashes in the middle of loading ( I don't even get to see the in-game screen). Because of some "xyz definition" or something like that. Help is appreciated.
