Re: /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lGL while compiling?
Thank you so much! creating a symlink in /usr/lib to libGL.so worked perfect!

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lGL while compiling?
I am having a really strange issue compiling spring (83.0) on debian squeeze. About a week ago I was having some difficulties with openGL libraries but that is now fixed. While spring is compiling it gets to about 73% and says: /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lGL collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[2...

Re: Error(s) When Compiling 0.82.7.1 on Debian Squeeze
You really think a new build will make these errors go away when trying to compile? I mean I was able at one point to compile 0.82.7.1 on a seperate debian box still using squeeze. Even when I download the test builds (0.82.8.x) I get the same errors. I can't say for fact, but I don't believe this i...

I have done all of that, prior to your reply, and I still get the same errors.

Error(s) When Compiling 0.82.7.1 on Debian Squeeze
Hello all, back about 2 months ago I was actually able to compile Spring 0.82.7.1 from source on Debian Squeeze (but with no sound). So today I wanted to give it another go on a different system, but same OS (squeeze amd64) So I ran: sudo apt-get build-dep spring I looked over the section in compili...

Well that is interesting. I was actually searching for pulse on my system earlier this afternoon. I will take another look tomorrow morning but to the best of my knowledge pulse was never on my system.
Thanks for the help jK! I appreciate it!

Re: Compiled 0.82.7.1 from source on debian squeeze and no sound
Removed old openal-soft (I believe it was 1.11) and installed openal-soft-1.13 still no sound. Would compiling the package with 1.13 make a difference?

Compiled 0.82.7.1 from source on debian squeeze and no sound
When I would use pre-compiled binaries from the debian repos all of my maps would have lines and green blobs on them, I just didnt want to deal with this so I decided I would give compiling from source a try. So I have successfully compiled 0.82.7.1 and springlobby 0.138 from source. When I launch a...

Re: Strange Lines through maps, and odd colored grass
Not a single change after removing, purging and installing the downgraded drivers, also tried a re-installation of the latest drivers.
Is it possible that this could be an issue with natty?
Is there anything else I could possibly do to correct this?

Re: Strange Lines through maps, and odd colored grass
I know most of my maps are post 2009, as for the alt-tabbing I never do any of that, I launch my game and start it, alt tab doesent even seem to work for Spring in Ubuntu.
I will remove my current driver and try the 1 listed above in the link then report back with the results.

Zero-K Lobby Question
Its been awhile since ive played spring, but i remember (i believe it was pre Zero-K Lobby) that the mods you would download would be placed in your spring/pool folder. Now it seems as if that has changed? i have installed a few mods, but nothing is in my spring folder, i even uninstalled spring, re...

SD 2.1.0.21??
So i went to update SD and a new box came up that ive never seen before. It said somethign along the lines of unknown publisher, and after debating it over I decided to install. Now ive noticed that the updated springdownloader.exe is no longer in the Spring folder which I thought was odd. SD made a...
