Re: How to do clean reinstall?
Hmm yes now the uninstaller caught that pesky configure file too. Dunno why it didn't before. Probably has to do with Windows Vista "security".

How to do clean reinstall?
My Spring has somehow stopped working (crashes on start) and I need to do a clean reinstall. I tried use the uninstaller, then delete spring folder and program data\spring folder too. But still reinstall isn't complete because my springsettings are the same (non-default) when I have done reinstall. ...

Re: SpringLobby hard to use??
Options->Chat->Fonts->Select... Oh didn't know the size thing was behind the select button. Didn't feel intuitive to me, but I guess it does for some. Anyways, I tried to change chat font size and it didn't work. No change. I change font, click ok and the text in the example box changes. But nothin...

Re: SpringLobby hard to use??
For me the biggest issue with Springlobby is as follows: In TASclient there's a clean interface with screen divided to chat and battlerooms. I set it so that I only see 7 or so battle rooms and sort them by players so I don't have to look at all the 50+ empty bot-hosted games. Also the text here is ...

req: chat history widget
Yea read the subject^^. There's about 5 lines of console visible by default and in long games with lots of people there's about 5 lines of text coming every second. So it's not really hard to miss something if you wish to look at the map at times too. Possible solutions are something like if I press...

Re: Suggestion about colors
Arrows falling from the skin and plunging themselves into the ground would be awesome. Dunno about that but there could certainly be some way of animating those map markers. If you redid the whole thing you could add some way of telling who placed it, how old it is and maybe some fancy animation. I...

Re: Suggestion about colors
Wow nice I really started a discussion here. Nice ideas everyone. I know some simple solutions like allies green, enemies red kind of stuff. I also have fog of war always on which helps to sort out friends and foes (who remembers which color is ally in which game anyways). More problems arise in sit...

Suggestion about colors
The idea just came into my mind, and I find it funny that it hasn't ever been used in any RTS-game of my knowing. In spring we have 16 different teams each with different color. Now that makes it really problematic to spot clear differences in those colors, since there aren't that many "main ty...

Re: Springserver commands and other "secret knowledge"
Yea someone with php skills could probably make a webpage where you could login with springserver account, rename account, change password and handle clan stuff. Then just make it impossible for people to include [tags] in their name manually and build some basic clan support for that instead... But...

Re: Springserver commands and other "secret knowledge"
Thanks for these. Found nothing very useful, but still nice to know. Anyone can answer the question about clan support? Also I found that !stats works with some autohosts. It returns info of how many battles you have won, lost, played, time spent etc. It also returns the same info about other people...

Springserver commands and other "secret knowledge"
Could somebody please write in the wiki a page about springserver commands? Seems like those are somewhat secret knowledge and even the pros often ask each other "what is the command to rename account" or something... Also if there's some clan support in spring, I'd like to know about it. ...

Re: Foreign keyboard support
Ahh I could disable the hotkey in control panel, thanks guys. Actually it's one of the very few hotkeys in windows that you can customize, even though it didn't let me change it to anything but some predefined things.

Re: Foreign keyboard support
Alt+shift... wow... what kind of an idiot made that a hotkey omg... must be real nutheads there at microsoft. Yea it looks like it fixes the thing, but now the problem is that I keep pressing alt+shift all the time in spring. It's usefull for queing up a box of windgens for example. But yea seems li...

Foreign keyboard support
I have a scandinavian keyboard, which makes it sometimes difficult for me. For example when I try to type "?" in in-game chat it gives me "_", not "?". So I can't type any questions. Same thing with " ' " and "." etc. And also ";" is a defa...

Re: Immobilebuilders / where to get
Allright thank you everyone, I got everything working now. Well except that my scandinavian keyboard doesn't have a ";"-key so I'll have to remap keys just for that... Isn't spring made by scandinavians? One would think they would have thought about the keys... But that's very minor so I'l...

Re: Immobilebuilders / where to get
Hmm... I found unit_immobile_buider.lua at my installation/luaui/widgets... but I'm still sure it wasn't on before smartnanos. How do I turn these things on/off? It isn't on the widgets list on my spring downloader. Btw I got another thing... I never see fog of war on the map. Is that normal? I mean...

Immobilebuilders / where to get
There's that immobilebuilders script that everyone seems to use. Now where the heck do I get that too? In spring downloader i got a bunch of good scripts and also installed smartnanos which is supposed to be a better version of immobilebuilders, but I'd still like to try out the real thing. They say...
