Re: Coronavirus
So, the world is turning itself inside out. The US is spectacularly unprepared for it and we have some people going 500% paranoid and others who give zero fucks. Basically the US atm is a giant petri dish and I fear that within a week or two, things will get very bad here. I feel that in the US it'...

YO! What's up?
Just wondering what's goin on with Spring (and BA) these days ...
DSD still the Map?
Better UI/engine performance?
Path-finding/following is ok, right?
Balances?

Re: Total Annihilation 2 is alive
Guys what is Heroes of the Storm? A custom map? A mod? -_- When you'll find the anwser, you can return to Earth with more knowledge about life (I'm not kidding) Come on. guys, let's be honest - Spring has a chance only if it changes from engine to platform for PLAYABLE and FUN mods (like Spring Tan...

Re: Total Annihilation 2 is alive
Oh, crap ... I forgot that there's a chance someone never used the full potential of competition's product. War3 and SC2 are using lua too (jass, but with similar features), what a surprise! And no, importing 3d models is not the main thing in modding. Anyway nice try, but when the devs will fix som...

Re: Planetary Annihilation (Incoming Moon Drops!)
I m actually really interested how they handle the units coordinates. Every Unit is at End of a Vector with Distance in Relation to the Core? prob on assymetrical planets (read non-spherical) i'll use coordinates of each quadrangle (quad/tetragon) of the model and also use them for quadtree collisi...

Re: Total Annihilation 2 is alive
smoth is right ... At the moment SC2 map editor provides so much modding (it is possible to convert entire eco/units of TA/Spring, I've done that before on SC1/War3) and fun with some community mods/maps, that leaves Spring+BA far behind it

2. BA 8.03 - downloaded it and still with big fluffy X
3. AND AGAIN we have to return our settings, including which one widget was enabled or disabled

Re: Why single thread is en of spring for me
I hold myself hostage, i have a banana up my ear, and will continue to push it into the brain, if you dont weight arguments the way i do. Its a little sad, but sometimes bleeding edge versus maintainability is decided by the masses - and the masses voted on- staying out of your fight and play with ...

Re: Chaff
As you all know, aircraft in spring already have the ability to emit flares as a way of decoying missiles that use IR-guidance mechanisms for homing into target. But how about implementing chaff countermeasures for radar guidance ones? Would it be possible? Yep, if you manage to scale plane' silhou...

Re: DSD no longer most played map!
each day at least 60% of battles were DSD, observing from the most populated host. Nope. E.g. http://replays.springrts.com/browse/autohost=BlackHoleHost1/ Checking the numbers from dansan's post, I see that DSD holds ~70% of battles played for a month. Even I semi-predicted those 60% (~12-15% for 2...

Oh, I'm sorry but I figured that you were trolling us. Apparently you are serious. I don't agree with you. I figured something similar - the thread's name ... DSD no longer most played map! Well, since thread's post date, each day at least 60% of battles were DSD, observing from the most populated ...

Re: DSD no longer most played map!
Ok, just for example 'Eye of Horus' has almost the same startpos metal spots in triangle as DSD. The diff is not big - the 3rd spot is a bit away from start pos. The map also has smaller distances between enemies compared to DSD. Which is mb is normal, cause it is for 3v3 ... If I remember right, si...

Nope, they areSilentwings wrote:"clone" is somewhat subjective but - No, they aren't.
Just compare the distances between each team-to-team start pos and number of turns
