Re: Machines: Wired for Spring
So if i want to put a unit into the game where would i start? I read the guide on modding, didn't totally understand it but i saw that you need to convert it to a .3DO and i heard upspring does this but if you use blender you dont need upspring. Can blender do this or do i actually need upspring? I ...

Re: Machines: Wired for Spring
looks close to the original :) I hope the wheels are not over 9000 polygon cylinders? Just a few are enough, Spring will will smooth them to be round if you set edges to soft. Lol yeah i though they would be. But when i get better ill reduce the polys on everything. The wheels are quite high i thin...

Re: Machines: Wired for Spring
OK so today i didn't have any coursework so i managed to get a bit of practice in using blender.
This is the Eradicator unit

The Crusader would be next but for some reason blender wont let me come off of object mode.

Re: Machines: Wired for Spring
Yes, that is exactly right. Using Blender is difficult as raising pigs. But you'll never have to leave your house to go to Aldi (Upspring) which makes life easier. Once you've learned how to handle the pigs (Blender) then you'll save lots of time and gas money and not have to drive to Aldi (Upsprin...

Be willing to learn, and listen to what other people say. Some people will be mean and yell at you, some will troll you. Take it in your stride, be above...

I have absolutely no experience with games design or model creation or any of that stuff. So i thought i would make a Machines mod on spring.
