Re: Mac Binary Release
works fine for me. :-) I only have a problem: in older releases i could create unit groups using ctrl-number, now that doesn't seem to work anymore. Does fork for anyone? I'm asking because I had problems with that in the past (something about my keyboard configuration, i guess), but i could not sol...

Re: Mac Binary Release
Wow, thank you! Will try it in a few hours.
The sound attenuation problem is a problem that was already present in older mac builds.

Re: Mac Binary Release
I can't remember wich mod/maps (if any) are installed on the windows/linux versions, but you can download almost everything here and from a couple of other sites. Most mods dosn't work well with this mac binary (odd colors), BA621 seems to be perfectly compatible. Also, some maps just crash the game.

Re: Mac Binary Release
You have a PPC mac don't you? yes, but i'll have an x86 one in a few days. Well I think for the moment it would be best to do x86 only then once that's working we can look at the task of endian-ness and PPC cpus. Porting spring to a new OS is one thing, but another cpu architecture is a different b...

Re: Mac Binary Release
why only x86? spring runs on ppcs too├óÔé¼┬ª a) ppc architecture for macs is deprecated not yet. apple will still support it for a while. b) ppc builds will only sync against ppc unless all endianess and other architecture differences will be debugged & fixed i hope that someday this will happe...

Re: Mac Binary Release
We need to build a 'Maclibs' package just like the 'vclibs' for visual studio, aimed at x86 Mac OS X. why only x86? spring runs on ppcs too├óÔé¼┬ª If you can provide a suitable DevIL library... Someone should also maintain a checklist of what we have and dont have i can try, but not until some days.

Re: Mac Binary Release
24/7 doesn't have to be 100%, would work if it's up most of the time. Without SSH however you'll need to configure build slave yourself (actually I prefer that, in particular if you don't ask any questions about it ;-)) In either case first mac team must have determined and documented how to build ...

Re: Mac OS X clear up
i think that you should ask to Commander and Elio to post their sources.
Beside that, there is something (very old, i think) about os x in the svn, you can try to build the dependencies and build that├óÔé¼┬ª
Or build everything the unix way and begins with that.

Re: Mac OS X clear up
great news!
well, theere are a lot of things to do...
i don't think that everything that was done by the two users who posted binaries is now in the svn, since the svn copy seems completely different from the binaries..

what should be the "double negation award"?
anyway, that's precisely the point of ba: keep the things balanced.
