Re: Balanced Annihilation V6.6
I don't think kbot are really all that bad, they just need more micro and use of rezzers. Vechs don't have anything that compares to rezzers, they rock! Problem with T1 kbots is that it is so difficult to attack with them than you just go to T2. Not only kbots are weaker and slower than vehicles ma...

Re: Complete Annihilation News
Try cloaking your penetrator with a cloak field. The slow RoF means it can cloak between shots, like a sniper. For something with DPS (More 'teeth') try the Mumbo. Its DPS is quite high, and if you keep it seperate from other units, its EMP death will ensure any force he sends to kill the pene wont...

Re: Complete Annihilation News
Try using the tech 1 units for the dirty job, and the tech 2 units and their especially abilities while tech 1 keeps the enemy busy :) Problem with this is that any semi-intelligent opponent is not going to be "busy" with Stumpys and other cannon fodder while getting creamed by Penetrator...

Re: Complete Annihilation News
lol @ arm lvl 2 bots sucking lol @ u have penetrator :P Penetrator indeed does nice damage, but they are trivial for Core player to kill. What always happens is that Penetrators kill 1-2 Core tanks, Core tanks drive in and kill the Penetrators while they reload, Bulldogs can't stop them doing so af...

Re: Complete Annihilation News
I think that the skuttle (advanced bomb) needs some more health, as it is very rare to see it actually survive to the target. Sure it can cloack, but cloaking winhout jammers only work against morons (because only morons dont make radar), and altough we could make it stealth that would make it too ...

Re: Balanced Annihilation V6.21
AKs are perfectly valid scouts and anti-sniper sweepers. Unlikely to work, though, if ARM player has a screen of Zeusses in front of snipers. Though, Core on the other hand has Dominator, which is nearly as useful as the sniper. However, I think there's one Core unit which needs a buff...Can. I thi...

Re: Balanced Annihilation V6.21
How do you explain this? Arm is almost 2 times more popular than core. It's leftover from old times (version 4.X and so) when ARM was indeed much more powerful than Core. Since then, snipers are no longer stealthy, 'Gators are much more competive with Flashes, etc. People stick with what they've us...

Re: Complete Annihilation News
Arm has a range of high-damage ranged weapons such as the Pene, Sniper and others to counter super heavy units like the Sumo. Alas, it seldom works in practice (generally in larger maps where Snipers have adequate space to retreat). Snipers don't do all that much damage in CA, plus when they die, t...

Re: Complete Annihilation News
Play Kbots. :| Flash doesnt take much damage and deals a lot . Janus can 1-shot gators. Stumpy/Ravager have high HP for cost- they are assault, meant to be able to survive charging headlong into a defensive line. If you are using nothing but Stumpy/Ravager, and fighting nothing but Stumpy/Ravager, ...

Re: Complete Annihilation News
gators cost 450m if I rebember well, and thats almost 2x more than stumpie, isnt it? :) Losing to aks is stupid tough... Umm no, Instigator = 150m, Stumpy 200m, Ravager 270m. Of course, Stumpy has almost 3* times the health of Instigator, but it is of little good since Stumpies have problems hittin...

Re: Complete Annihilation News
Isn't the ravager a T1 tank? If so, I'd say it's pretty much possible to have a lot of them on the battlefield... maybe the suspension complexity should be reduced a bit? Its the most expensive t1 tank in the game, and even though its a main battle tank like the Stumpy, you arent going to see that ...

Replay not working?
Most of my .76b1 replays don't work, they only give error message "Couldn't find any archives for mod BA60.sd7". Funny thing is that some of these replays (all BA6.0) do work, and my opponents' replays work just fine in their machines. Am I missing some mod file or what?

People seem to think they're worthless, and I have yet to see anybody use one effectively in a replay... but I think that's because nobody has considered that when you get to 3, you're not talking about maybe 1 or 2 hits per unit in an attacking force, but 5-6- enough to kill a lot of things outrig...

Agreed. A Krow costs as much as 11.16 Rapier or 8.61 Hurricane (using 1 metal = 66 energy and 1 energy = 2 build time), both of which I would rather have in nearly every situation. If you have a seaplane platform, that's 11.78 Cutlass (best gunship in the game for cost) or 13.37 Maelstrom (second-b...

The Tremor is very expensive and wildly inaccurate. It cant hit the broad side of a barn. Its useless vs mobile units, and even vs individual targets. Its very good for is taking out large areas of heavy porc (and any units skulking among them) and putting The Fear of God into them (Its mostly psyc...

I didn't say it's bad because it is not resistant enough against flak (I also think something like this would be stupid) but it's bad due to the borked rockets and due to the bad cost vs. gain ratio (it's about 1.5 Brawler if you look into the stats while costing about 4 times as much)... Well in g...

Wait, the Blade is no longer Flak-resistent? Since when? Looking at the modinfo - the Blade is in HGunship, which takes half-damage from Flak. So it is, in fact, flak-resistent. But it also _does_ half-damage to flak cannons, so you can't even use it to remove the flak threat and clear the way for ...
