Re: BA model replacements
It just seems a shame to me to discard the awesome work that Mr.D and Beherith already did.MidKnight wrote:I think it's probably best that Bob goes on with his own agenda. He's done phenomenally so far. Who're we to tell him to change his plans?

Re: BA model replacements
While I am deeply impressed by Mr. Bob's work, I still think that time and effort would be best spent working on units and structures that don't already have effective replacement. Therefore, we should just use the vehicles done by Mr. D, the navy made by Cremuss, and the K-Bots done by Beherith and...

Re: BA Experimental V1.00 (BA692)
Seconded. This is one of the main reasons I haven't downloaded BA yet. I really don't like the look of the older models when other *A mods are useing Mr. D's freely available upgraded designs.Beherith wrote:Add all of mr ds core stuff and im sold.

Re: Arne's Core Air Force - Some Models
Ahem! Back to the topic of the thread... Treeform, your models are excellent. I would really like to see them incorporated into the attempt to add new models to BA. Despite others calls to re-texture, I think they look quite impressive as-is. If you want to revise your work that should be up to you.

Re: Spring: 1944 "Operation Konstantin" (v0.92) Release
When playing as the Germans, it is possible to construct a 7.5cm Infantry Support Howitzer. What is this gun for? I can't find it listed in the guides on the Spring 1944 website.

Re: SpringLobby.info down?
OK, thanks for getting it back online, koshi. I've got SpringLobby running now. Could someone give me a bit of advice on getting Single Player working, though? My copy of TASServer defaults to opening port 8200, but SpringLobby is always searching for a server on port 8452. How can I get SpringLobby...

SpringLobby.info down?
I've been trying all evening to look at springlobby.info to get the Windows dlls, but every link I try fails. All I get is the Firefox 'Connection Interrupted: Document Contains no Data' message.
Is anyone else having this problem, or do I need to open the page with IE?

Unable to start in any Mod/Game
I attempted to start Spring games in both XTA 9.5 and SimBase 0.5 using version 0.77b5 and neither would start. As soon as the load screens completed, the game crashed back to my desktop. Using script script.txt using configuration source "Software\SJ\Spring" OS: Microsoft Windows XP Profe...

I liked it before it was textured, and I like it even more now. You managed to make the radar truck look a little scary, Mr. D. Most Impressive!

I have to agree with you, Tribulex, I am a rather lousy RTS player. Also, I'm afraid I can't accept your challenge because I only have a 56k connection shared for my entire household.

Re: CORE Radar truck +1
I wasn't specifically aiming at you, smoth. I've seen what some of the members of this community do when you suggest a change, and its not pretty. I like realism, and that generally means that a lot of units look a lot alike. My solution to Tribulex' complaint would be to zoom in, get a good look, a...

Re: CORE Radar truck +1
people cried deep rivers of tears when fang did it, I recommend avoiding that approach. That's a little short-sighted in my opinion, but the tyranny of the majority being what it is, I suppose you have to give the people what they want. uh.. video games are all about realism.. I think that w...

Re: CORE Radar truck +1
I have a rather radical proposal for both the radar and jammer trucks. Real Life militaries use the same truck chassis for as many of their support units as possible to keep maintenance and production costs down. That is why so many variations on the HMMWV exist. Why not pull the missile launcher of...

Effing A!
Mr. D, your third version has restored my will to live. The old radar truck was so hideously ugly that I could never bring myself to use it. Now it will be a centerpiece of my strategy.
