Re: Spring multithreaded - openmp on Debian 6 Squeeze 64 bit
Hi If you have cloned spring already, as described here: http://springrts.com/wiki/Building_Spring_on_Linux git checkout --track -b 85MT origin/85MT If you build the spring-multithreaded executable from this branch and copy it to your "regular" 85.0 installation folder, then online play wi...

Re: Spring multithreaded - openmp on Debian 6 Squeeze 64 bit
Thanks a lot all for your replies. The 0.85 release has a bug in MT. There is a patched version out there that works (85.0-2-gb951972). Check the git for that commit. If i do that will I be able to play online? And please, can give you a more detailed explanation of how to use "git" to obt...

[Solved] Spring multithreaded-openmp Debian 6 Squeeze 64 bit
Hi all, Last week i succesfully built a 0.85 Spring multithreaded-version with OPENMP option on a Debian 6 Squeeze system on 64bit arch using all stable dependencies of Debian Squeeze (no backports, no Wheezy packages). I plan to show you the details when I can really be sure this works. Those instr...

Re: Springlobby - no "downloads" tab on Debian 6

Re: Springlobby - no "downloads" tab on Debian 6
Well, last night i tried to compile version 0.141 from source resolving all dependencies, even the torrent-rasterbar one, and activated the torrent option variable when executing CMAKE. I compiled succesfully but no "downloads" tab appeared, so i think there could be something more than a ...

[Solved]Springlobby - no "downloads" tab on Debian 6
Hi all It's been a while since the last time i played Spring. I bought a new computer last week and i get back to Spring after installing Ubuntu 11.10 on it. I played a couple of "chicken" matches and it was fun. By some other causes i reinstalled it yesterday to Debian 6 Squeeze, and i in...

Re: Ubuntu 8.04 just making sure
As far as i know, there is no fix yet for the repo. No, i wont put together both packages on the same one, because that breaks the idea of "dependencies" and so. I have some strange behavior on sound too, and a heavy CPU usage on any map in situations i think my computer could handle in th...

Re: 0.79.1 performance and sound: way worse than 0.78 ?
Have you tried the settings file? Do you mean the .springrc file located at my homedir? Yes, I found the var "PitchAdjust=1" into it, but according to the changelog : allow soundpitch to be adjusted according to game speed (default off, turn on with PitchAdjust=1) I dont think changing it...

Re: 0.79.1 performance and sound: way worse than 0.78 ?
I rebuilt the packages but nothing changed about the sound.
Is there any way to disable the new doppler and pitch effects ( /DisablePitchEffects or similar command?) ?
Please help!

Re: 0.79.1 performance and sound: way worse than 0.78 ?
How are you building them? Maybe you're doing something wrong. I detailed the steps I followed in this other topic . When i did that i had both libboost 1.34 (not dev) and 1.35 (both user and dev) libraries on my system, now i removed the 1.34 packages and i'm rebuilding. dpkg -l | grep libboost ii...

nothing fancy.
I have to backport (installing 8.10 libboost libraries into 8.04) to build, so there is something fancy in the build.

Re: NO_PUBKEY when installing
Hi,
As far as i know, that message is only a warning because you dont have certified signatures for that repository.
Just go on with the installation (either via Synaptic package manager or apt-get). Tell us if you have any problems.
