I have given up on it. I am only experimenting with the server, and I have already given 2003 the bullet and now working on Debian.

Perhaps there is a hacky method of making the game initialize rendering through a compatibility wrapper of some kind? Sort of like an emulator?

Is there such a utility?

And is that OpenGL that it is trying to use?

Bit of a problem here: I am trying to host on a DL140 Proliant (G1), but apparently springie actually needs to run ingame as well. The problem is the server uses a very basic integrated video (RAGE XL). Upon trying to start a game, it reports that it needs GL_ARB_texture_env_combine. Is there a way ...
