Re: closing down mantis

I am not a modder. However I've sent some patches through mantis, and they've been accepted thus far. How would I do this in the future without mantis access? I think I can tell an engine bug from a mod bug when I have one. But the most difficulty is that I have no idea how I would even report bugs ...

Re: unitsync exports no symbols

./configure should definitely check that. But if you just upgraded your wx, then configure is not rerun automatically, you must configure again and then make. If the most latest source still fails to build, even if your configure succeeds, please let us know. That would indeed be a bug in either sou...

In spring, players are supposed to enjoy destroying each other. So guns and violence is good, but sex is bad?

I wonder how the f-word can hurt anyone, compared to nuclear weapons for example.

Bad intent and bad manner can't be undone by a fsck'ing automatic censor.

I'd like you try to change filesystem checker to sth else :p

Yokozar, are you going to make a debian deb also, and if yes, could you give me some eta? The debs are already source compatible (just like the main spring ones), so the only issue here is making the repository work right. I still need to switch over to Falcon. No they are not, debian does not have...

I don't see this in the tarball I have...

edit: nevermind, that's because it's not there. Ok I'll play along with GIT now.
I can include it to tarball releases too, if you like. It's probably better.

AF: nothing prevents having the standalone exe version to actually be a small exe that loads and runs the shared library.

Best of both worlds.

The dedicated server should be the only server. When you host normally, what should happen is that both a dedicated server and your local client spring program get launched. Then, when your local client program crashes to a LuaUI bug or whatever, the server keeps on going, and even keeps on going wh...

There's this mysterious thing in linux that's called a link, either hard or symbolic, that makes you able to have aliases for your "hidden folders".

Hidden folders...

That's actually a known problem between a version of libdevil and gcc 4.2, and there is a newer version of libdevil that fixes it.

I added a troubleshooting title for it on SetupGuide:

When you open that page, there is a table of contents. What you want should be easy to find from toc. Except with pictures as topics the toc lost part of it's text. Fixed. Anyway, when you click on what you want from the toc, then your browser scrolls down so that the topic you wanted is on top. Scr...

http://trac.springlobby.info/changeset/697 This should fix the issue. Just update your portage overlays with "layman --sync ALL" and retry with emerge. It should now work with both boost 1.33 (that needs to test that threads use flag is set) and boost 1.34 (which does not have that use fla...

AF, can you update springrts.com/wiki/SetupGuide#AFLobby to point to where ever the newest version can be found? You keep making new threads about your lobby and I'm not really sure where you want to be linked so that your lobby is found without needing to browse the forum everytime.

Its a nice idea, but I creates a huge security flaw for average users who just blindly press "OK" whenever a command prompt comes up; e.g. my mother. Yet you need this one click solution for the average user who doesn't want enter 3 terminal commands whenever they want to install a third ...
