Re: Mac Binary Release

Thanks Commander, It fixes build icons and loading screens for me too. While you're in a fixing things mood, one of the features of the Elio build was that *.srts files were associated with Spring.app so you could start a game by opening the .srts file. That doesn't work any more, even if I manually...

Re: Mac Binary Release

There's a message that scrolls off the console when I start a game. Maybe it has something to do with the missing build icons? See attached screenshot.

Re: Mac Binary Release

Hi,

Tried Spring-0.76b1+5425.dmg on my PowerMac G5 running OS X 10.5.1.

Game runs, got sound, can build things etc. No build icons, though. Also while the game is loading what looks like textures flash up.

Very promising progress though!

EDIT: Should've mentioned, video is Radeon 9600 Pro.

I tried opening it from the terminal via open /Applications/SpringRTS.app but it showed no errors. I ran top in another window and watched it while I tried it again and it showed Spring start and then a crashdump process ran. You have to run it like this: /Applications/SpringRTS.app/Contents/MacOS/...

That's outrageously expensive.

I can send you a stamped self-addressed CD envelope if you like.

can I have more details on the crash? Start a game and try to select an AI such as "Economy" or "Central build" and I'll get a "This Application has closed unexpectedly" dialog and the following message on the console: dyld: lazy symbol binding failed: Symbol not found...

myai shouldn't work I don't think as it's missing compatible code, and apparently it's not worth the bother. others should be fine. AI patch for 0.7 series is redundant. OK, so how can I best help? Now I've got AAI and skirmish mode working the game seems basically working. The sound is a bit wonky...

Ignore this, AAI works fine once I deleted ai\aai\learn\mod\XTAPE.dat and ai\aai\log\BuildTable_XTAPE.txt

Hello, Using MacOSX 10.4.8 on PowerMac G5. Downloaded and installed: SpringRTS Universal Mac Build 0.7gU, then AI patch for 0.7 series, then SpringRTS Mac 0.7->0.78eU Patch&AI The last one makes the complaints about version numbers of the libs go away. However the AIs don't all seem to work corr...
