Spring RTS Engine

Hi I'm getting used to the uikeys. But do not fully unterstand them. Am I right when I'm saying that the uikeys only fully supported by the english (US or GB) keyboard-layout? Problem: With my german keyboard is it not possible to use the default uikeys. I have to change them. But it is not possible...
