Non-DSD Host
There once was a host specifically dedicated to any other map than DeltaSiege Dry. I am just baffled by how people come to host to ask for DSD when there has ALWAYS been plenty of DSD games available. It would be nice to have a host for people who play more different maps than mods again.

Re: unbinding ctrl+a
bind ctrl+a select AllMap+_InPrevSel+_ClearSelection_SelectAll+ Thanks! It worked, and I even managed to add _Not_ManualFireUnit to remove commander from the selection. Now I'm baffled by how to do the same for visible units only. I have removed the previous keybinding from ctrl+z, yet the Visible ...

Re: unbinding ctrl+a
It works! I'm still surprisingly stumped by the binding part as well. I have tried bind Ctrl+a AllMap++SelectAll_InPrevSel+ bind Ctrl+a and AllMap++InPrevSel_SelectAll+, but how should selecting unit of types in InPrevSel from AllMap?Jazcash wrote:Try just this instead:

unbinding ctrl+a
I'm having trouble unbinding ctrl+a in the new uikeys.txt. As far as I've understood, this should be how its done: unbind Ctrl+a select AllMap++_ClearSelection_SelectAll+ The goal would be to replace it, so ctrl+a would instead select all units of same type as those in selection. bind Ctrl+a AllMap+...

Auto skirm without widgets
I have tried studying the Auto Skirm widget to figure out its workings, but when I turned it completely off, I realized it never had any effect to begin with. Instead, Storms and Rockos plot their own patrol points, and shoot at enemies even with Hold Fire orders. Why does this happen? On a related ...

Player names in the unit info
How do I get the name of the owning player to show in the unit info popup? I remember having it once and it would greatly help to find it again.

Taken into account, as I have experience playing sea. Its still simply not enough.JAZCASH wrote:With Corvettes you have to micro them so the side of them is facing the enemy to allow both lasers to shoot at the same time. If you're approaching head on, only the front laser can shoot.

Re: BA hovers are overpowered
In my experience, no amount of microing can make corvettes equal to hovers. For example, on one game of FolsonDamDeluxe, I had all the sea mexes plus all of the reclaimed rocks to power the commander and two construction ships assisting a shipyard pushing nothing but corvettes. I still got overrun b...

BA hovers are overpowered
I guess anyone who's played water maps in BA has noticed this, but now it has become completely ridiculous. Ships are good for nothing but economy while sea combat is reduced to hovers fighting other hovers.
Either the hovers need to be nerfed or the ships need to be buffed.

Re: Lern2play noob: A hint
More important: DON'T ASK "who needs t2 con", you're only wasting your time and concentration and those of your allies. LOOK AROUND, and send the cons to all the players that don't have a t2 lab yet. I have spesifically taken a habit of asking before giving because of people who ignore th...

Re: Too loud point sound
No, BA.
I'd be willing to edit the spring files as long as there's any way to lower that volume.

Too loud point sound
How can I adjust the sound of inserting points on a map? Mine are currently way too loud compared to the general volume of the game.

How NOT to play Spring (BA), part 2
Having played more games and seen more noobs, I think its time for another How Not To Play Spring thread. For those who dont know it, its a collection of BAD advice that you're better off not following. STORE FOR THE FUTURE - Most likely you will occassionally have surplus metal or energy. Instead o...

Re: A mass rate of ragequitting as of late
I agree that trying to self-d everything should give the stuff to allies. That would at least stop the noobs who just want to leave when things get ugly without thinking about it.
Insulting/humiliating quit messages would also improve the situation somewhat.

Tabula-V3.sd7
Tabula-V3 hasn't gotten to unknown files yet because its creator doesnt have an account there. Since it's still not available and I dont have an account either, I posted it to rapidshare for anyone who might be interested. http://rapidshare.com/files/87158250/Tabula-v3.sd7.html I'm not sure if this ...

I'll add to this topic that almost half of the players dont build any radars. They build artillery, penetrators and other long range units, and lose majority of those because of few flashes that they cant see until they enter the sight radius. I just watched a game with epochs, banthas and two vulca...
