First thing I have to say is, thanks for developing the new lobby :), the new beta and the quick bugfix release (it only took one day or so to release a bugfix? that's quite fast). I have a question. Please read these topics: http://taspring.clan-sy.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=1036 http://taspring.cla...

I'm, not a programmer myself, but do you need help with attracting a new lead developer? Maybe I can get this as a news item on the website http://www.linux-gamers.net/, could that help? If yes, please say so.

It'll be autopackaged if you or someone else volunteers to autopackage it! It looks like you are the only one so far :)! Well, I wasn't exactly volunteering to do it, but if no one else wants to do it, I will give it a try. I agree! Anyone who wants to produce packages for their favorite distro may...

Oh yes, the center island... now I remember, that island in the center just between the eastern island and the western island, it had a lot of metal patches, over 10 or so, right?

will there be an autopackage for the Linux port?

Will there be an autopackage available for the Linux port? Autpackage provides Linux users with an easy way of installing packages, a click & install like Windows users know it. Another advantage is that autopackage is distribution independent, so there won't be a need to package the port in rpm...

can anyone please port the map "two continents"?

I'm not sure about the name, but I thought it was called "Two Continents". It was a large map, with 60% of the map covered with water. Respectively in the west and the east there are two large pieces of land. Respectively in the north and in the south there were two pieces of land as well,...

Ok, you guys have a point, but as far as I know it isn't possible to give such detailed attack orders. Or am I missing something? If so, please tell me. As far as I know the only options for me when I let some bombers attack an enemy base are: 1. Attack a single building/area on the ground. This is ...

The problem is that the bombers have an imperfect position for the buildings just like radar dots wander around. So when they get close and the buildings comes in los it will suddenly correct the position. Problem is that they are on the wrong course for the bombing run and doesnt have time to corr...

"area attack" option isn't working well for bomber

The situation is as follows. I sent a few scout aircraft over an enemy base. Some buildings were revealed and remained visisble (transparent) on the map after the scouts were shot down by AA fire. I thought that when the revealed buildings should enable other units, for example bombers, to know wher...

How do I play a LAN-only game then so my brother and I can play against each other? Do you think as well that I have to use the workaround which some people posted here? Use Spring.exe and one of you select to be server, and the other not to be server, and type in the local IP of the server where i...

Ok, thanks a lot for your explanation jouninkomiko. But in the newspost on the TA Spring website you said that you couldn't help with the development of Spring for quite some time because you have a new job at Microsoft. So will I have to wait some months before this gets implemented? Oh, and one qu...

Well, I tested it today. First I checked the local IP of my bro's PC. To do that I opened the command prompt and typed "ipconfig". That gave me his local IP adress, 10.0.0.153 . So in the client, I opened File -> Configuration and wrote down his IP there. Then I tried to connect to my PC's...

Jouninkomiko, I had already read your reply in the original thread. But you gave an answer to my first and second problem, you said that I only needed to forward ports if I would host. And that if I wanted to host with two PC's behind a router that I should let them use different ports. That clarifi...

do the developers check the bug database on sourceforge?

I posted about my problem on the forum - http://taspring.clan-sy.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=1036 - but I didn't get a final word on the problem from the development. After that I posted in the bug database of the SourceForge page - http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1209415&...

I have a AMD Athlon XP 2500+, 512 MB PC3200 DDR RAM and a GeForce 5900 XT.

I never got the lag you described when playing. Camera movement lag only happens when I'm playing a replay and I turn up the game speed.

Oh, and I disabled shadows. They caused the game loading to take over a minute.
