Look, there's no point in having hugely veteran units in TA, as no unit lives too long in TA. Therefore, the current system is good, units gain experience by dealing damage, not killing, and there is a maximum limit to experience at which several basic stats are boosted to 200%. Maybe some variants ...

That pic was my Arm commander, and the project is progressing at a very slow pace now that I lost contact with Seraph/Sathanas/Mike Symons/Whatever other name he uses. Currently I did the Maverick, the Arm commie, and the Avenger. The Freedom Fighter is almost done. Others are still in my head, wait...

I've just had a... rather stupid idea. It's mostly inspired by the recent remake of an old classic, Battle City. In the remake, the little tanks are shown as inside a big box that lies on a table. Maybe that's what could be done to TA in Spring... make a Toy TA... At least, that's my only idea so fa...

Well, I can say a few words of what system Spring currently uses. I tested The Legacy's EDF race, and used a Krogoth for target practice of the infantry. An infantryman has 30 health in its normal state. Obviously, there was only one Krogoth, so in TA, the infantry wouldn't be able to get any experi...

I think that in the new unit format, which I hope will be just a refined version of the current format, it will be possible to link a script function and a system variable to the experience effects. This would allow for certain changes in appearance and behavior when certain levels of experience are...

Uh... so ext.txt lists extensions present? I thought it listed those that are needed... Which extensions are required for shadowmaps? Of the shadow-related extensions, there were GL_ARB_shadow, GL_EXT_shadow_funcs, GL_SGIX_shadow. If I post the list here (or upload it via 'upload files') can you tel...

Ok, let's presume we have a sort of a tesla coil tower, which shoots numerous inaccurate lightning bolts. It's got a large accuracy angle, about 5000, and a sprayangle of 500. Your system would mean it will fire bursts of bolts spread in the 5500 angle. The correct system would mean it will fire a t...

Accuracy + sprayangle is incorrect. It works in a different way, it sprays the bullets at the 'sprayangle', in the direction of 'accuracy'. They aren't added together. And moreover, that accuracy and spray angles aren't doubled, so the angle of 5.5 degrees is actually a 5.5 degree cone, not a 11 deg...

The amphib units detect water through a script function, that returns the 'type' of terrain they are passing. The Pelican detects when it's on the border of water and land, and transforms. Torpedo bombers don't drop their torpedoes from above land, that's what I meant. StartMoving and StopMoving are...

Grievous tidings I bring, oh great YankSpankers. Well, not as much grievous as merely troubling, actually. Here are some bugs and minor issues I stumbled upon while playtesting the engine. I didn't yet see shadows or reflections (driver issues), so I can't report anything on that. Here they are, in ...

Yeah, great, but they really need more weight. Actually, a new FBI tag for weight would be good, so that weight isn't constant or dependant on size (some big units can be light, some small units can be heavy - example - 3x3 Spider is probably light, whereas the 3x3 Krog... >_<). We could then easily...

Even though I like Core Prime:Resurrection, I think we shouldn't use nmaes from TA storyline in the name. As of yet, Spring has no storyline, and it probably doesn't need one. Other names I could suggest: Project Immortality Spring: Infinity Wars Spring: War of The Machines (hmm.. terminator again) ...
