THANK YOU!!! :P :P :P That worked! It's the AA. I still see a weird behavior though. When I try to build something the screen goes gradually to a solid green until I cannot anything. When the building is done I start to see everything again. Must be something related with the commander build spray....

Just an update:

I can play some mods on 82.5 , but BA still crashes at start-up.
I didn't update my drivers so something must have been fixed/changed in spring.

Would it be possible to add some maps to the data package? Spring fails saying "Couldn't find any map files". Probably at least one mod is also needed in the package.

I cannot check right now (my ubuntu is damaged ), but I remember netbeans using ant to build the jar file/package. You just need to find the right XML file and type ant thexmlfile.xml.
Netbeans makes these files by default.

Is there anyone working in a package for linux so that it would be possible to play without using the windows version under wine, or building from source? Why is there only a windows executable for download? Including the GPL version in linux's repositories would BOOM the number of players and coder...
