Re: Balanced Annihilation V6.81

With regard to kbots- it's quite possible to play them versus vehicles in some situations. However you tend to play them only one way. After early scouting pretty much the only kbot I ever see used is mass lines of rocko-storms with rez behind them. Hammer/thud could probably use some sort of very s...

Really core kbot balance would be a lot better if the sumo buildtime was just doubled, or more. Even a single freaker gaurding a fac can pump out a sumo in a very reasonable time if you have the metal and E for it. Then core players might use the can a little more which suddenly makes using fidos/ma...

The goliath change is excellent, They are finally kind of usable again, with spotters and support. The BB change can't be that bad since I've yet to see a bertha in a few games, but I support the idea of making them better because they were pretty much terrible before and getting roughly 4 of them w...

As far as skuttles go, and for that matter perhaps the core commando, I'd like to see them be both stealth and cloaking- just up their decloak radius so that they can be easily uncloaked and killed. For the commando a decloak just big enough that it could capture a unit and stay cloaked would be hel...

By the way speaking of the core cloaking crawling bomb it still has an incredibly high buildtime and energy cost for such a niche unit, might want to edit that. Energy cost 27470, buildtime 38861 the metal cost might be a little high as well, but 506 dosn't seem outrageous. for comparison the basic ...

Give the commander a special armor type, or whatever, such that one commander exploding does not instantly cause another commander to explode. This makes walking your com into an enemy com a terrible choice unless you can follow it up with a full scale assult- and even if you can the enemy commander...

If you guys have time I think that sea vs land balance is an issue that's gone majorly ignored for a long time- not that there are huge problems, but I personally have found sea to be woefully unequipped for ever taking on land. In particular, even level 2 sea seems to die quite easily to swarms of ...

Another example is artillery - why even bother trying to design a map for good gameplay if every single location on it is open to being basically removed from the game? Like, we all hate maps with a single chokepoint. Chokepoints in general can be very detrimental to gameplay if not used in a smart...

I just wanted to mention that I think the reverting of sheilds back to reflectors is a good idea- the physics of reflector sheilds was always one of my favorite things in AA. However I think that you need to be careful not to make them the invincible bastions they were beforehand, as some people hav...

There is friendly fire already, for some units. Try, for instance, the ARM all terrain spiders. Friendly fire is the main thing that restricts them to a "raid" unit as versus a "battle" unit, as they will cheerfully fire right into each other's faces.

What is the reload time of a screamer? 10 seconds? What is its hp? 1000? What is the speed of a hawk? 7? how many hawks can one screamer kill? 10? how long will a scremer last against 190 hawks? 2 seconds? Bots are TOO SLOW ON LARGE MAPS. ATTACKS ARE POINTLESS WHEN, BY THE TIME THEY GET THERE, HE H...
