the narrow land crossings will make for interesting choke points... looking forward to this. Although air will become very popular... I also like that the metal isn't too focused on the starting islands.

I really like the concept of this map, there is symmetry but it is at the same time almost natural-feeling. I do agree that more water metal would make an interesting touch, but beyond that, great work!

Hi everybody. I'm sorry, I had to disappear for about, what 6 months?! Stupid school. I'd like to get back in the flow, at least until I have a computer that can run supcom.... I've updated the how-to for the new versions of the tagged release, and in a moment I'll fix it up to correctly detail Unit...

I just compiled everything from the tagged 0.73b1 release, and UnityLobby gives me the following error after the profile selector goes away: File "/home/keithjr/.spring/UnityLobby/client/main.py", line 44, in ? from Battle import battle File "/home/keithjr/.spring/UnityLobby/client/Ba...

I've updated the information here to point to the 0.73b1 tagged svn branch, as well as the new packages for the linux-data. hollow, what are the new installation instructions for UnityLobby? Should they just copy the code from the svn into the spring datadir and run main.py just like in spring-gui? ...

Hello all, I'm coming back to spring (or trying to) after about a month and a half away. I just updated my trunk and rebuilt the game from scratch, copied over my 0.72b1 linux data, and now every time I try to start spring it gives me a pop-up telling me there's missing content and to specify data d...

so single-datadir setups need not require selection... that's damn clever.

you should note that as well in the readme, if for no other reason than to brag about how clever it is. :)

Ok I'm sorry I found this is the Bugs forum, but there's no answer there either (at least, I followed the answer as far as I can tell). The reason I posted here was because I thought the linux data archive was the problem. Are the taspring-linux-data-0.72b1 files conflicting with the 0.73 stuff in t...

Graphic glitches in trunk svn?

I am trying out the latest svn (well, however recent 2142 is) and I'm having some trouble. I cleared out all of the files from my datadir of choice, and then copied all the files from the taspring-linux-data-0.72b1 archive into it. Finally, I copied the files from trunk/game into the datadir as well...

wow, I have to say this is getting better by the second... I only have two issues to point out. They aren't really issues, actually; just ambiguities. In the readme, you should specify which of the files needs to be used to start unity (so if the user wants to sym link to it, he knows which file it ...

Just a note - Game runs fine without a .springrc for me on ubuntu dapper and i don't see why you would hide the directory in your home? I get a similar error in standard AA, but I think it has to do with AA's use of metatags, right? I remember hearing that a while ago.

NTAI works fine with XTAv7 for me currently (rev 1903) with the few maps I've tried. Although, now AAI seems to be screwed up. I'm looking into it.

you can go ahead and update the link to the tagged (right word?) version in the front post (3.12). I'll do so as well in my howto.

yeah, I just heard that the floating point exceptions have been resolved... was doing this for my HOWTO though. This might just be another keith-problem so I won't dwell on it.
