About evolving - it is possible to create a unit which will automatically reclaim its creator as far as I know. I want 4 races because I like the verity it provides for gameplay. Indeed

Since I upgraded from 0.67b3 to 0.70b1 enabling shadows makes the load proccess crash.
It happens on "loading units and weapons"
I tried changing every single button in the settings tab (except the devel messages), but no good (unless I uncheck shadows)

Shadows worked very well on 67b3
