Re: Ashes of the singularity
relevant I am liking the way the developers are communicating and listening to the community (even to the point that the community is basically helping them design the game). Looks like they are more keen to focus on COOP and SP with good non-cheating AI involved rather than on PvP and potential e-...

Re: Invaders!
You just have to think of the map in vertical sense. Top would be "air" bottom would be "ground". And the barrier between ground and underground would be a modular object from which could for example be drilled a hole for missile silo.

Some PR guy probably.YOU SHOULD BE FEEL GRATEFUL FOR GIVING YOU A FREE COPY OF A GAME. THIS IS NO WAY OF EXPRESSING GRATITUDE TOWARDS DEVELOPERS OF THE GAME.

Re: Ashes of the singularity
Well of course judging a game based on all currently available data to me is idiotic! There is nothing else I can do at the moment until I acquire more of it as I clearly stated in my previous post. Besides how do you know they are just 'benchmarks' perhaps it is indeed the gameplay? Neither do I or...

Re: Ashes of the singularity
The game looks like it is taking "epic scale" to sell out not to actually gain any depth. That being said the game looks awesome cool but also very dull and boring in gameplay. And your basing this on, what exactly? Based on the provided video of course. It can be clearly seen that there ...

Re: Ashes of the singularity
I know nobody wants to here this- but these guys do a AAA-Graphics Game for a small audience which equals economic suicide by now, especially after AMD abandoned its own mantle bandwagon. So in order to get a bigger audience- they would have to widen the scope, add moba elements or episodice storyt...

That is a terribly rude post Orfelius. Yeah it is mostly because I am the creator of these abominations. I did not actually think that Yak is going to use them to be frank  wasn't it a bit obvious by the way I said "they werent supposed to be spammed" ? I would have then made the au...

Re: Z
Map looks awesome but I have 2 questions: 1. Why not post this in "releases" sub sub forum and instead post in the main subforum about mapping? 2. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO USE THESE SUPER UGLY TREES. I AM DEEPLY OFFENDED. Like seriously you could have at least asked to make you some variations ...

Re: Random WIP 2015+
I have decided to finally model something for serious: http://i.imgur.com/nFmunuo.png http://i.imgur.com/j7yfCPE.png This is new Starlight model for Zero-K. For those who don't know Starlight is the planetary chisel that cuts the surface with a huge orbital lasor. The floating part is the satellite ...

Re: Let's learn from Wesnoth and think about the future of spring
You act like supporting via money is bad thing. It was never stated as such. Is it that hard to understand that hoko will not work for money? You should be glad for that fact actually. Especially that there are no interested people to give him money for developing Spring in the first place. Especia...

Oh boy what have I done. At least we do not have to worry about moderation because there is no way that admins will get trough these walls of text :D Face the truth: The human language is context-sensitive. Obviously. The thing is that I didn't know the context because you failed to encode your info...

Re: UI discussion
Can I just say that this screenshot is golden Jazcash?
But then it might be just because I have played Starcraft and ZK more than BA so I am more used to their layouts.
And to everybody saying that engine UI is good: yeah it is good for the 90s of the past century.

Lalalala NeonStorm thread. You know what? You are basically a living legend back on ZK forums! Every thread full of a bunch of random suggestion is called a "neonstorm" now :D I feel like somebody should respond to this train of thoughts and since nobody has so far for 5 days I figure that...

Re: Do Superweapons feel more super, when you have to work for them?
Congrats Pic its a neonstorm thread now. Anyhow, a yet not released RTS called Act of Agression does that. One has to gather a special type of resource that is randomly spread trough a map so the strongest units and superweapons can be made out of it. It is a very cool concept but imo the idea of cr...

Splat Detail Mapping: Why? Where? How?
Why should one use it? Where on the map should it be placed? How to reliably create distribution for it? How to get proper detail ratio? I have tried to improve my map with splat details lately since I have seen them in action before mainly being used by behe on maps such as melt I started to questi...

Re: Akilon Wastelands
The trees in the center can't block los like in sc Did you read? Because we can't make them block los in spring, IE not possible. I did read that. As I understood you just didn't make them to. That did not imply that it was *impossible*. I haven't used the "realism" argument (yet) but con...

Re: Akilon Wastelands
Why make the threes block the shots if they are non collision? It makes for unintuitive behavior imo. Besides I would much more them to block los instead or make units invisible (alike to LoL grasspatches). Any how the current model (the correct not flipped one) also doesn't fit for any of these rol...
