Re: *A games econ help?
Too many solars? Hmm--that sounds like it--I didn't know that was bad. Why is there such a thing as "too many solars?" Not enough power for the cost?

*A games econ help?
In advance: Many apologies if there is a (non-deprecated) guide for this around and I'm just blithely waltzing by it, but I've been up and down the wiki, and the newest strat guide I can find on the web that discusses how to play Spring-based *A games is on balancedannihilation.org, and even that se...

Re: Changing bot color/player name in singleplayer?
I use the springlobby that comes from the Ubuntu Software Center, and I'm using the singleplayer tab, because when I try to log in, it says that since I'm using version 91, online play is disabled. EDIT: There is no "multiplayer" tab in my springlobby. There is: Chat, Battlelist, Battleroo...

Changing bot color/player name in singleplayer?
See the thread title: Is this possible? I have version 91.0 of Spring (working on trying to upgrade, see my thread in the Linux forum), but not really sure I want to upgrade anyway, because 1) I'm a terrible RTS player by multiplayer standards, and 2) I want to play Zero-K, and Zero-K apparently use...

Re: I think I broke the Lua... GL_STACK_UNDERFLOW in glPopMa
Hmm...well yes, I do use 91.0, but I have ATI integrated graphics (I'm on a laptop). But how do people play online with Zero-K if they use version 91?

Re: Linux build of Spring error using make and install cmds
Okay--well I -really- don't know what I'm doing there... you go into system settings, software & updates, and then go to the "Other Software" tab, right? I go there, and this is the screen I see: (see attached screenshot). I've removed and re-added the Spring repository, but I see no o...

Re: Linux build of Spring error using make and install cmds
Okay--what does that entail? Going into the software center, uninstalling it from there, and then going into the Home folder and removing all traces of Spring from there as well? If that's the case, I've already tried that to attempt to deal with another issue I'm having with Spring--mysteriously, B...

Re: Linux build of Spring error using make and install cmds
I did that...
and that's where I'm stuck at 91. Every time I try to update it says everything is up to date. But in Spring itself, it's a no go.

Re: Linux build of Spring error using make and install cmds
Okay--so here's where I'm at: The Browse Source and Browse Build tabs, I can put those where I unpacked the .tar file that I got of the source code for Spring 94, right? If that's not the case, that may explain the error message I'm getting: Error in configuration process, project files may be inval...

Re: Linux build of Spring error using make and install cmds
Okay--can I have some tips on cmake-gui?
Never used that command before--not entirely sure what I'm looking at or how to use it...Sorry....

Re: Linux build of Spring error using make and install cmds
Okay--so I figured out what I was doing wrong *facepalm* with my version of Spring being behind, but now I'm getting this error, even when using sudo. Note, I am using the Spring compile guide listed here: http://zero-k.info/Wiki/Download [ 15%] Building CXX object AI/Skirmish/KAIK/CMakeFiles/KAIK.d...

Re: Linux build of Spring error using make and install cmds
What's up? I've poked through the forums, but I'm so new at Linux I'm having trouble deciphering exactly what's going on here. I added the Spring PPA to my software repository, tried reloading both it and the lobby client, and even tried updating through the terminal, but Spring still says that my v...

Re: I think I broke the Lua...
Sounds like your hotkeys might be messed up. Check to make sure tweak mode isn't using both ctrl+f11 AND f11. No idea why but its happened to me.. That was it, thanks! One problem down--and potentially another one I'm putting the pieces together to: When playing Robot Wars http://springfiles.com/sp...

Re: Low performance on Spring when adding bots: (BA v7.81)
I'd be more than happy to provide the infolog--is that in the spring main folder? Unfortunately, I can neither code nor debug, and as I am a single parent, I don't have the time to learn either, though I would much like to. Possibly if I ever strike it rich and can stop working, I'll take up a hobby...

Re: I think I broke the Lua...
Thanks for your help--but that's also part of my problem. I can't access the Lua list in BA, and I broke it in NOTA, and reloading the Lua doesn't help.

Re: I think I broke the Lua...
Certainly :) http://pastebin.com/xLLYLR74 Oh, and question: I've noticed some people, when addressing my original error, the message that gets repeated in my chatbox, they refer to something called the "RedMinimap", and disabling that solves their problems. What is the Red Minimap, and how...

I think I broke the Lua... GL_STACK_UNDERFLOW in glPopMatrix
Heh, so I think I'm finally getting the hang of this Spring thing :-) Got a game going with some bots (I got my butt kicked, but the FPS stayed manageable), and am downloading new maps every day. Only problem is the pesky LUA interface. I am getting various error messages spammed in the chat window ...
