Re: Strange lag

I told you to check the settings of it ... Oh! I didn't think about it before you told me, and than I disobeyed you, mom  I came back today to tell I made a test showing that the problem comes from the window manager. I guess you won't be interested by the source of the problem, when i'll ...

Re: Strange lag

With hardware cursor, the cursor moves fine, but for example the "virtual building" showed when choosing the place for the building is around 0.5 sec delayed. For the sound, when i make the comm attack ground, the sound isn't sync with the shot. But I dunno (and didn't say) the value of th...

Re: Strange lag

Sorry for my english.
The mouse cursor is 0.5 second behind where it should be. The sound is delayed too... No connexion lag or CPU load.

I'm gonna remove all and try again... Later. A .rpm package installing spring and springlobby would be fine...

Re: Strange lag

I use the normal binary : on my previous install, MT had no sound... I did try to remove several widgets, but i'm gonna try to remove them all. But as it works locally but not from springlobby, I suspect something in the files springlobby uses for spring...? I'm gonna look for another ATI drivers fo...

Strange lag

Hello, I installed a new linux on a clean HD, and installed Spring + BA ... When I run it from the OS (launching Spring + "Test the game"), everything seems fine. When I launch a game from springlobby in single player mode, I get "lag" issues : the mouse behaves like if the CPU w...

Re: Weblobby version 159

I dont get why you spend time on GUI colors when you could set it to the user's l&f...? It's a real question, not a judgment. I spend time to tune my l&f and than I have to do it again for WebLobby... Not efficient... Is weblobby opensource ? Where are they ?

[edit] ok, found.

Re: Why is there so much old Spring in linux packages?

I tried. No sound. It's a recurrent problem with OpenJDK7. This problem doesn't usually occurs with Sun Java 6, + I need it to work. Does weblobby really need JRE7 ? If not, you'd beter set 1.6 or even 1.5 as minimal JRE version... + I think Java is better used trough JWS than through an applet... T...

Re: Why is there so much old Spring in linux packages?

Ok thanks, i'm gonna really try soon. Maybe one should promote weblobby as the standard way of accessing mp games...? When coming for the first time to play, say there : http://springrts.com/wiki/GamesDownloads , there is no mention of weblobby, it seems just that ZeroK+lobby is the "normal&quo...

Re: Why is there so much old Spring in linux packages?

Sure :) but i can"t run mt spring because i have no sound with it... And i probably just stick to "my" springlobby :) but i'll try... One day... But it stays a workaround, by definition not the "neat" (so '90s word...?) way to do. For me it's anyway ok, but I tried to help t...

Re: Why is there so much old Spring in linux packages?

That's only a workaround, as I don't want to run Java while playing, 'cause my quadcore CPU isn't always enough for Spring alone... I found obvious that all linux apps were supposed to be automatically updated, wich is the case for most of them... Maybe at least SpringLobby should detect and dl Spri...

Re: Why is there so much old Spring in linux packages?

I can tell as a new linux user that I expect to download and run something (and my distro will ask me a root password if needed) or the old version (installed trough the standard installer/repo) to update itself. As a JWS user, I find it really hard to have a functionnal online game running. Auto-up...
