Spring RTS Engine

I have a hp G60-645NR Notebook. Everytime i try and start ta ba on spring it crashes right toward the end of everything loading. The only thing it says is that there was a problem with the file spring.exe? I lowered the graphics all the way down. Any suggestions? Maybe an older version!
