Re: Bitcoin mining made easy
Is that so? because he insults everyone who questions his beloved bitcoin. The guy has so much bias in this stuff it isn't even funny. it is all this "we" stuff that is making you sound like a cultist. If you dish it out, you should learn how to take it. (I hereby promise, that this was my...

Re: Bitcoin mining made easy
I am still on the fence about all this. I don't know if buying bitcoins will put you on a watch list or something like that. My dad and I have been mistaken in the past for a massively unsavory guy and we just recently cleared that up. I am not sure if the "guilt by association" is worth ...

Re: Bitcoin mining made easy
Well, maybe he does :) A few month ago he wrote right here: Jealous much? Bitcoin is here to stay and you will kick yourself later if you don't invest in it now when the price is still only 140USD/BTC :regret: Back then I bought one bitcoin - mostly because I wanted to try out the technology. But no...

Re: Frequent crashing
Well, I made a 94.1 build on 10.8, but I didn't get very far. There is a crash because of a free() on an invalid pointer during startup. I'm quite sure this is a problem on my side caused by a sloppy build, but if we want to have a look at it, just tell me what to do. stdout: http://paste.springfile...

Re: Frequent crashing
So, to avoid confusion I summarize:
Currently Spring does not work for anyone with MacOS 10.7 (Lion) or 10.8 (Mountain Lion) without occasional crashes.
Spring is currently build with MacOS 10.6. For me it would be interesting to try a 10.8 build or get the info how to build it myself.

Re: Frequent crashing
To my knowledge (and please correct me) Spring currently does not work with MacOS 10.7 (Lion) or 10.8 (Mountain Lion) as described within this thread. So everyone who got a Mac during the past 2 years or upgraded during that time is affected by these crashes. daftalx himself said it would be a good ...

Re: Frequent crashing
Ideally, we would need to have extra build slaves on buildbot.springrts.com with at least ML ( 10.8 ) (anyone still stuck at beta-looking 10.7 is encouraged to upgrade to 10.8!!). If there are testers around which have a few millicycles to spare on their box, let me know by PM. The requirements are...

That crash happens with Lion and Mountain Lion. There exist some other threads about this problem with additional info:

GDB output of Spring 91 crashing with Mountain Lion
("thread apply all bt full")

I noticed that for me the crashes don't happen at the same in-game time. Maybe they depend on the camera postion?

Re: help needed for testing engine download
Worked. To run Spring after downloading, I used:
I have Mountain Lion.
Code: Select all
~/.spring/engine/\{develop}91.0.1-40-g7686818/Spring_\{develop}91.0.1-40-g7686818.app/Contents/MacOS/spring

Don't know for sure, if it was exactly the same game time. But at least in the order +-1 minute.
Sorry btw. I didn't know Spring records replays by default.

Re: Frequent crashing
I experience the same behaviour as Belmakor. Although, I havent looked into it yet, so maybe the problem is on my side. Could be some wrongs settings of the config, because at the same time, I upgraded to the newest version of NotaLobby

Another possibility to reveal the .spring folder:
Within Finder: Command+Shift+G (Go To Folder)
"~/.spring"
