compiling 82.7.1-gcc4.6
I've started to compile on my own on ubuntu oneiric because of sync errors. In this page http://springrts.com/mantis/view.php?id=2459 it sais : Ubuntu 11.04 self-built spring with self-built gcc 4.6 does sync (!). So I decided to build on my own. I have tried to use both gcc 4.5 and 4.6 with this co...

Re: Spring Lobby crashes
Finally I have solved the problem, but for this I had to mess up my packages a little. So I had python-wxgtk 2.8.11 on my oneiric ubuntu. I have tried to install 2.8.12 stable what is advertised on the wxgtk official page, but had no effect, lobby was still unusable. I had to rollback, but oneiric o...

I would, it was just an idea :)knorke wrote:Even if technically possible it would just become an arms race of cheating vs cheat protection, nothing to gain here. Cheats are not widespread.
Wouldn't you rather want to see engine devs working on improved pathing and such things?

Re: Protection against cheaters
What if there were a 5 minute delay between the game data and the spectation ? Or more,...
What do you think?
This technic was used on counter-strike 1.6 & HLTV the HLTV allowed the specs in, and there was a 5 minutes delay between the live server and the spec server

Re: Spring Lobby crashes
Hi all, I have updated spring to 0.83 and my springlobby stopped to working at all. Have a look : http://www.kephost.org/di-JZFA.png It recognise that the official server has a different version, but thats all. I cant play online, because of this. Any idea how can I make it work again? Thanks!

Re: New release! Spring 83.0 is out!
I was testing (for myself) the AIs one by one, and the second or the third one on the list , did not make a move. Sometimes it's commander attacks back, sometimes not, but never starts to build or stg. I suppose it is a failure, how can I help debugging it :?: ? :?: Any news about the official serve...

Re: New release! Spring 83.0 is out!
no, it seems to be a new version, you should not rename the old one.gilboa wrote:I'm the Fedora spring maintainer.
Just to be certain: I should rename spring-0.82.7.1 to spring-83? (In words: Spring version eighty three?)
