Since my last post, D2X-XL has received lots and lots and lots of fixes and enhancements. Check it out if you liked it.

You can play D1 levels with D2X-XL, and though there are some differences, I am working on getting the game experience closer closer to the original D1. Next thing I will do is to look over the bot AI and bot sounds.

D2X XL is now available not only for MS Windows, but also for Linux and Mac OS X.

As I have almost finished porting D2X-W32 to Linux, I have renamed the whole project to D2X-XL to reflect both the broader scope of the project and the rich feature set exceeding that of all other D2X versions.

Btw, I am a big TA fan. Imo it's the best RTS game evah. I still have the CDs and some mods and alternative AIs for it. Queller with 5000 units ... hmmm ...

Quite funny that I found this site by looking for another of my favourite games ...

I prefer D2 over D3. Gameplay just feels better.

Hi, I am the D2X-W32 coder. :) Found you by checking where people linked to my Descent 2 site from. I just found http://www.descent2.de/d2x.html And now I can play Descent2 fine on my new PC!!! However, one way doors + single use switches + save disabled in secret levels makes for very unfair levels...
