Springlobby bugged
I have installed SpringLobby 0.139 manually (via apt-get, because it didn't want to install via Updater) and launched it.
At first, everything was fine. But, when I entered login/password it hung up. The next time I start Lobby it behaves in a weird manner like this: (see the picture in attachment).

Re: ppa for spring
Thanks. Seems like via "apt-get" it works. =)Cheesecan wrote:Try using apt-get instead?
I hope this mistake will be fixed in the nearest future.

Re: ppa for spring
I'm trying to update Spring Lobby via the built in Update Manager in Xubuntu 11.10. It sees all new versions of Lobby and Spring, but says, it cannot install them because the action requires installing packages from unsafe sources. What should I do here?

Re: PT (Peace Time) Feature
I think, only restricting unit's movements is a bad idea. What if somebody builds a cannon or a unit with long ranged weapon... it will be able to attack other units from the starting-zone-box. I think, it must be somehow forbidden for the unit to attack. Maybe, all the units should have the no-atta...

Re: PT (Peace Time) Feature
Well, actually, in Cossacks borderlines on map were possible because maps were quite simmetric and starting positions were quite fixed. I agree, that in BA this can be made by restricting to leave a starting box area somehow. I think this (PT) can be an option, which will be disabled by default, and...

There are much better maps than DSD. I, personally, don't like DSD map.

PT (Peace Time) Feature
I would like to ask BA developers to add a "Peace Time" feature into the game. The PT is presented in various cool RTSs, for example, in good old "Cossacks: Back to War". In Cossacks it was made the following way. PT counter is shown on the screen. When PT is active, the border b...

Re: Different types of terrain
well, i told about Dune2 because there were concrete plates, on which buildings were placed in desert. Same things could be used in Spring games to be able to build stable areas on weak terrains (for buildings placements and for temporary roads for heavy units, like in real life). P.S. Of course, th...

Re: Different types of terrain
please tell me how many maps have you tried, and how you mean the terrain variety in one map? do you want multiple biomes per map? Well, that was very long ago, I don't remember. But not 1-2 maps of course. I mean, that there could be on one map, for example, an area with an ordinary ground with no...

Different types of terrain
Does Spring engine support (and are there any games that already use) the effect of different terrain types? I mean, not just water and land, and flat land or mountains, but also additional types of terrain, like different types of swamp, desert, rock, ice/snow etc. By different terrain types I also...

Re: ATI/AMD users FAQ
after upgrading to Catalyst 11.5 from 11.4 I got a lot of new bugs! Disappearing units, artefacts near place for geothermal plant, invisible selection and other green-lined objects and many more... What the hell is that? Why it was ok in 11.4 ?! (Game is BA 7.50)
