Re: Spring 86.0!
0OGL is more powerful anyway. Well, OpenGL is 2D/3D API, but DirectX (as someone said this abbrev) is a general purpose API which can be successfully used (rly) even in commercial non-entertainment software. With open source solutions you need to be very carefull to stick all things to work as you ...

Re: Release: Spring 84.0! The DragonSlayer!
Just tried multiplayer and had to repoint my unitsynclibrary to
/usr/lib/spring/libunitsync.so
Suspect that was a move from spring-engine to spring package? Other than that works a treat.
Did I say thanks? Good, thanks.

Re: Release: Spring 84.0! The DragonSlayer!
Hmm, seems to be some problems with the packaging for ubuntu? Launchpad built and published the spring package for amd64 a couple hours before it built and published the spring-common package. Rebooting didn't fix anything, time did :) Appreciate you're talking about amd64 but I can't seem to get s...

Re: Spring 0.82.6 bug fix release
This is not a professional project, you are on a free server so the switch often happens when someone has a good opportunity to do it. I don't quite see what you need to schedule around this. It isn't like you have a project that is dependent on this engine. Oh no, it's far, far more important than...

Re: Spring 0.82.6 bug fix release
this thread is the advance warning. I don't think that's quite what I asked for but you're correct these threads are indeed advanced warning. What I was looking for was help with an advanced notification of the date/time the Spring engine would switch to the new. A schedule like this allows people ...

Re: Spring 0.82.6 bug fix release
that is not possible, cause nobody without jedi powers knows that in advance. Fine, everyone playing Imperial Winter knows in advance but what about the rest of us? ;) Seriously, is it a case of as the patch becomes ready someone sets it live? Just a shame there's no warning at all. Could there be ...

Re: Spring 0.82.6 bug fix release
Is there any way of seeing advanced notification of the Spring engine change being required to play live? I appreciate this 0.82.6 isn't required for live yet, and hopefully not before tonight either. But, it would be very useful to old gimers (like a gamer but less so), like me, who only play once ...
