okay, somehow I've managed to put What I thought were maps into the mods dropdown box. I copied the three map files (BA715.sd7, NOTA1632.sd7 and WarEvolution1.7.sdz, in case anyone was wondering) into the maps folder (located on the fat32 partition of my external hard drive, for some reason) but the...

well, there was no .spring folder, so I created one, put the maps in and it still couldn't detect them. I installed spring from the ubuntu 10.04 repository, if that makes a difference.

Okay, I'm new to linux, and have just installed ubuntu today. I downloaded and installed spring fine, but now I cannot figure out how to add maps to it. It says to copy the files to ~.spring/maps, but I have no idea where to find said directory. Can anyone help? Thankyou so much.
