I think you should try to give units to yourself. I'm not sure if it's possible in svn, can't test now; if it isn't, bug should closed as fixed (but make sure that LuaUI can't do this, too.)

AFAIK the share dialog shouldn't allow you to share anything to yourself in SVN. If it does allow that, that is another bug.

Could it be that he just selected himself but the unit were actually shared to KAIK because the engine disallowed giving to himself?

I arrived here because of the very familiar stack trace That i got in my crashes. However I was not giving away units or something like that, so I am not sure if this will be of use to you.

I attached two infologs of crashes while playing with bots. The crashes are seemingly random to me, but when I play a game against AAI I have a very good chance of crashing before the end of the game. I never crashed when playing with only KAIK, but one game where I put KAIK against AAI, I got the crash from the KAIK code, just like in the stacktrace originally added to this bugreport.

It could be system dependant, since I am running XP service pack 1, unpatched. I don't know what OS kazoitez was running.
