I just attempted to compile this POS on GCC10. After fighting my way through 10,000 warnings, finally there was an error in the link stage I just couldn't get through. I had to give up. Since I don't run foreign binary code on my PC, if I can't build Spring RTS from source, that means I don't run it. Sad. I'm a maintainer of a distro with over 1,600 packages built and installed, so I've seen every kind of package that exists in the wild. I have seen enough to conclude that game developers are by far the ABSOLUTE WORST developers. 95% of games I have ever tried to compile are a fucking nightmare to build. FIX YOUR FUCKING GARBAGE CODE! |
