0006436: stacktrace_translator.py is badly broken

Description

python3 -m doctest stacktrace_translator.py throws a lot of errors

when changing/touching this, IMHO xmlrpc should be changed to jsonrpc and the frontend heavily simplified, maybe directlry talk to the python service.
