whats our goal? link everything static or dynamic / use shared libs?

atm it looks for me like shared linking is easier / less error-prone.

more specific: the cmake code for static linking heavily depends on mingwlibs which makes replacement with mxe very difficult.

 On windows shared libs are not a problem at all!

I can also replace all mingwlibs to .dlls
