Product Version97.0.1+git
Target Version98.0
Summary0004444: 97.0.1-33-g0e104a0 .sdd games do not appear in spring.exe menu
DescriptionSince 97.0.1-33 it is impossible to select a game which is a sdd through the menu reached by launching spring.exe directly. The option to select the game is no present. Other games which appear in the same folder as the sdd are present.

Moving the sdd from Spring\games to Spring\engine\97.0.1-33-g0e104a0\games has no effect. However if the sdd is in both directories then the following warning appears in the infolog:
Warning: Found a "examplemod.sdd" already in "C:\Users\user\Documents\My Games\Spring\engine\97.0.1-33-g0e104a0\games\", ignoring one in "C:\Users\user\Documents\My Games\Spring\games\"
The sdd still does not appear in the spring.exe menu.

The build I am using came from spring_{develop}97.0.1-33-g0e104a0_minimal-portable+dedicated.zip

97.0.1-31 works.

A similar thing happens for me with a normal install of 97.0.1-60. My .sdd all show up in Springs choose game/map/script menu (I guess because its a normal install and they are already cached) but then when I try to load the game Spring can't find any of the files that the .sdd contains and errors/exits/crashes. Added an infolog.

This is blocking imo.

I am able to play .sdd games on ubuntu 14.04 97.0.1-43 both from weblobby's single player menu and from starting spring directly.

This is differential to both googlefrog and silentwings who use windows and experience the bug.

Likely OS related?

97.0.1-64-gc264569 has the same bug.

Confirmed here too: works with 96.0 but not with 97.0-63

[f=0000000] Using game: XTA 9 TEST
[f=0000000] Using game archive: xta-svn-test.sdd

But .sdd folders slow down the loading enormously anyway, it's better to use a .sdz or .sd7 archive instead.
