Summary0002819: Minor Observations w/ Spring 84.0.1-457-g2ed2fed HEAD (MT-Sim) & BA 7.62
DescriptionI did some very brief testing of BA 7.62 & the latest GIT this morning and noticed a few changes that I thought might be unintended so I thought I'd share. (Sorry if these are bugs in BA and not Spring or are already known.)

The color of the "projectile" (lightning) for the Dragon's Claw Turret is red (blue/white in 84.0).

I can no longer draw custom formations for multiple units and they always arrange themselves in a grid pattern.

Units are damaging each other just from minor bumps while moving.
Additional InformationI made a quick screenshot showing all of the observations.

Spotted this line in the infolog after I posted my report:

[f=0000000] Failed to load: unit_customformations2.lua ([string "LuaUI/Widgets/unit_customformations2.lua"]:62: table index is nil)

so that probably explains custom formations not working...

yup, i guess it does.. maybe try to contact the widget author/BA devs(if it is included in the game), to update the widget.

thanks for reporting, and nice report! :-)

we would prefer to have one report per issue though. don't worry about spamming 3 separate reports, it is much more convenient for us.
you may still make two(three) others now, and we edit(delete) this one.

I think I found the BA bug tracker and it seems the widget crash might be fixed already by this (although I didn't test, it looks like the exact same problem):

And thanks for letting me know about the multiple reports! I wasn't aware it was better for you guys...I'll keep it in mind for the future, thanks! :)

Noticed you guys left this report open, so I'll try to narrow/clarify something...

I tried to reproduce "units are damaging each other from minor bumps while moving" and discovered that it occurs when the units are navigating through somewhat dense patches of trees or bouncing off of structures that are close together.

It almost looks like the unit is starting to slide, then it abruptly "rams" the obstacle.

If you arrange a pattern of Dragon's Claws or LLT's (just for example) with just enough space for some infantry k-bots to squeeze between them, both the k-bots and the structures will take damage. If you order the k-bots to keep walking through the buildings, they will actually sustain enough damage to die in a pretty short amount of time.
