Summary | 0002717: Mapinfo specifies playable area of map
Description | (I don't think this is a high priority feature, it's here to dispel the illusion created by http://springrts.com/mantis/view.php?id=2364 because I am not allowed to reopen that ticket) Lua cannot adequately implement limited play area for maps. At best you have a complex gadget to track everything that would need to be done to limit play area. This includes preventing constructors from following area reclaim commands which I don't think is reasonable. At worst you end up with gadget wars between the map and game. Instead of using lua, the engine should handle playable area by treating the playable area as the only area for most purposes.
