it's not always the right thing to do; i don't want the window maximized when developing, e.g.

Tree drawer should be fixed instead of crappy workarounds imho.

That would be the best to do but I thought a 30s workaround had a chance to be done instead of a real fix.

Sad that not everyone prefer windows to be started maximized. Maybe making this available in the settings ("start maximized in windowed mode" checkbox).

adding the checkbox is not that easy, it requires coordination with koshi.

Since 77 you've been able to resize spring to a larger window and the mouse wouldn't screw up, so set it to a tiny window with a 95% chance of being entirely onscreen.

I don't see what you mean with "mouse screw up".

Sorry but the workaround of the workaround you give sounds poor to me.

I considered everyone doesn't like the same behaviour that's why I suggested this in the settings

In older spring, when you started with a small window, and made it larger, the mouse would be trapped in the top-left area the same size as the original window.

You really think it's a poor workaround to just make the window start smaller? Meh. I'll look at what can be done about maximizing.

You can also use workaround like springloader to increase window size for you.
Im already using it to set affinity. Its really a must on dual core.

I forgot springloader. It could do the job, I'll give it to a look.
