| Description | Debian "testing" recently upgraded its Nsis package to version 2.37. But this version fails to build the Spring installer: "Error finding icon resources: installer, uninstaller icon size mismatch - see the Icon instruction's documentation for more information -- failing!" btw, there is a bug in the Debian package, makensis is missing :D (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=484938) | ||||||||

I think this is a known issue, as I know I have not been able to compile the installer on the latest version of NSIS. Since I have it working on an earlier version and the installer doesn't need to be compiled anywhere but my machine (for buildbot and release purposes), I haven't tried to fix the issue. I don't know what the cause is, but if you feel like figuring it out, I would accept a patch. :-) |

Well, from what I can see here http://www.nullsoft.com/free/nsis/makensis.htm , "Icon : Sets the icon of the installer. The icon MUST contain a 32x32x16 color icon resource (it can also contain other icons, but they will be discarded)." Currently I believe our install icon (InstallerIcon.ico) only contains 32-bit icons. Maybe this ? |

It's not clear why it would work on an older version though. |
